You can use a wide range of phones with Verizon prepaid, including most recent Apple iPhone and Android models. Stop by any Wireless Plus location and our team can help you pick out a new prepaid phone, or check whether a device you already own is compatible so you can bring your own.

Yes. You can make calls to international locations from your prepaid phone at the applicable per-minute rate. If you call other countries often, we offer a few options:
- Global Choice on the $70 Unlimited Plus plan: unlimited calls to one country per month, plus discounted rates to 220+ countries.
- Select plans that include calls to Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands and the US Virgin Islands.
- International calling add-ons you can attach to your plan for a set monthly fee.
International networks change frequently, so certain locations may not be available at all times, and pricing is subject to change. Unlimited night and weekend minutes do not apply to international calls.
How much data you need depends on what you do with your device. Here are some examples (not your actual usage):

Data usage for mobile hotspot depends on how many devices are connected and what they are doing. Usage could be 30 GB or more if several devices are streaming music or video.
Yes, you get 5G access with our current prepaid plans. 5G Ultra Wideband, our fastest 5G, is included with the Unlimited Plus plan. Note: the Talk & Text plan is limited to 2G data speeds only.
5G Ultra Wideband access requires a 5G-capable device inside the 5G Ultra Wideband coverage area and includes 4K UHD streaming on capable devices.
Devices purchased from Verizon or certain authorized retailers are locked for 365 days after activation. After 365 days of paid active service and ordinary use, the lock is removed automatically, unless the device is reported lost or stolen or was purchased fraudulently.
